SCHOOL ADEQUATE YEARLY PROGRESS
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) is a method for determining if schools, districts and the state have made adequate progress in improving student achievement. AYP is based on participation and performance on state assessments, as well as attendance rates for elementary and middle schools, and, for high schools, graduation rates.
