Balance as of October 1, 2007 $5,723.13

IV. Little Ol’ Cookie House/Candles - Fundraiser

Fundraiser has begun. Orders will be turned into the school by October 12. Parents will pick orders for distribution on October 31, at 2:00.

V. Papa John’s – Irene

Irene was absent from the meeting.

VI. Field Trips

Kdg/1st – Kansas State Fair
5th/6th – Kansas State Fair
Several grades will be taking their classrooms to Harvest Farms in Turon.

VII. Projects:

Halloween Parade: Angie & Sharon

Time: 12:30 on October 31
Tyson: Will judge the parade/provide gifts
Luan: Certificates, Notes home to parents
Gifts for Judges

Chili Bingo: Sharon, Melinda

Date: November 8
Time: 5:30-6:30 Serve Chili
6:30 – 8:00 Play Bingo
Sherry Brawner will place order for food.
Tim Murray will provide crackers.
Beth will purchase pop.
Cost: $2.00 per meal w/ bingo card
$1.00 for extra card
Jenny Collum: Prizes

Christmas: Sharon, Becky, Jeanette, Candy

Community Service Project – Further research needed
Students will create cards to send over to 82nd Airborne.

Spring Fun Day: Angie

Date: May 16th
Possibilities: Tyson-hot dogs, Snow Cones, Popcorn

Mexican Dinner

Possible dates: April 1 or 8
Tim Murray: chips, tortillas, taco meat

VIII. Officers

It was decided to continue having Sharon King & Beth Redinger handle the agendas and the budget of PTO. Continued communications with parents is important. Minutes will be posted on the Avenue A website.

IX. Other

*Christmas gifts for students were discussed. Angie and Beth will have information at the next meeting.
*PreK, Kdg., and 1st Grades will entertain Tyson (Business Partners) at in December if asked. *Continue to gather parent support.
