Thoughts from Mrs. Redinger

So many times we try to teach children what behavior is acceptable and what behavior is unacceptable. Guidelines are established so that children can function easily in a classroom that is safe and where learning can take place to the best of their ability. Yet, we know children will falter occasionally. Correcting misbehaving students is part of our job and so is learning how to handle misbehavior. Everything we expect students to do in a classroom or at school, we must teach them.

School Site Council Meeting Tuesday, October 2, 2007 6:00 pm in the Library

Each school in the state of Kansas has a council of representatives from its school and community to serve in the interest of the education of its students. The group represents parents, patrons and school employees. The council is advisory in nature. Adoption of policy and procedures remains the direct responsibility of the superintendent and the Board of Education. Regularly scheduled site council meetings will be held during the school year.

The council is just another way for parents and the community to have an active role in the education of the children. Please come join us.

Topics for Tuesday night include: purpose, dates, assessment data, school improvement, and the “A” Team.

Starting October 1, students will be working hard each month to be recognized as an “A” Team member. The goals are:
