Welcome to the USD 308 Nutrition Services website. Our department serves approximately 3200 lunches and 1000 breakfasts daily. We also prepare food for the HHS daycare, The Early Education Center, and the Headstart programs at the Hutcherson center and McCandless Elementary. Nutrition Services has four production kitchens they are Lincoln Elementary, Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Middle School-7 and Hutchinson Middle School-8. The food is prepared at these kitchens and transported to our 12 serving sites. Nutrition services employs 60 full and part-time staff. Our school meals are planned based on the United States Department of Agriculture and the Kansas State Department of Education guidelines.


Administrator is Hilary Hanvey. Mrs. Hanvey’s department provides nutritious meals twice a day to students in all the district’s schools. The department is responsible for the purchase, preparation and serving of food. Additionally, the department must track meals for nutritional content. The department also provides other nutritional support for the district, ranging from healthy snacks during testing periods to full-blown banquets for special events.
