These questions will help you to evaluate the information on the Internet sites you find when doing research. Remember to evaluate the sites according to these 6 topics to make sure that the research you find is what you want and need.
- Relevancy:
- Did I use keywords and questions relevant to my search?
- Is the information relevant to my topic?
- Appropriateness:
- Is the information suitable for my age and core values?
- Will the information help me answer my research question?
- Details:
- How much information do I need?
- Is the depth of the coverage of the topic adequate for my needs?
- Currency:
- When was the information published or last updated?
- Is the information old and outdated?
- Authority:
- Who is the author of the information?

- Bias:
- Why was this information written?
- Was the site written to inform me, persuade me, or sell me something?
