Happy New Year,

We have had our second parent-teacher conferences and they went well. We would of liked to have a had few more parents come, but we always think that. Thank you to those who did come. The year is progressing along very quickly and it will be over before you know it.

 One of the most important activities that we have coming up are our State Assessments. The Writing assessment will be starting the first of February, Reading is at the beginning of March , and Math is at the end of March right before spring break.  Please stress to your children the importance of doing their best. We will also be giving the Science and Social Studies Assessment in April. This is the first time in many years that the Social Studies will be given in the 8^th and the Science in the 7^th grade. I know we can do very well if we all encourage our students and expect the best from them.

Lastly we have had a successful winter sports season. The basketball is coming to a close and the wrestling is just kicking off. If you want to watch some exciting events please stop by and watch or support our students.
