 Dates for HMS-8 Fall Activities:

Football:
Aug. 13th - Equipment check-out @ HHS - Old Weight room - 8:00 - 9:00am
Aug. 16th - 1st Practice in helmets & shorts only 4:00-6:00pm @ HHS Practice Fields

Cross Country:
Aug. 16th - 1st Practice @ HMS-8 - 4:00-5:30pm
Running attire:  shoes, shirt, etc

Soccer:
Aug. 16th - 1st day of try-outs  - 4:00-5:30pm @ 23rd St. Soccer Complex
White shirt, cleats, shin guards and water bottle

Volleyball:
Aug. 16th - 1st day of try-outs @ HMS-8 - 4:00 - 5:30pm
Athletic shoes, kneepads, no jeans or jean shorts please.

Girls Tennis:
Aug. 16th - 1st Practice HHS Tennis Courts - 4:00 - 6:00pm
Work-out attire, tennis racket & tennis shoes, No jeans

All students wanting to try-out or participate in ANY school sport at HMS-8 will need to have a current physical on file dated AFTER May 1st, 2010.

1 Gallon Freezer Bag to hold supplies

Please make sure to label supplies with First AND Last Name.  Supplies with no names tend to wander off.  Please contact me at jestera@usd308.com if unable to purchase any of the above supplies before school begins.

FREE “VARICELLA” (Chickenpox) Reno Co Health Dept
vaccine to children ages 10 through 18 in need of a first or second dose of the
vaccine. There is a $14.00 administrative fee, which may be reduced, with income
verification.

Kansas schools require proof from a physician of a previous history of the disease
and depending on the child’s grade level, one to two doses of the vaccine.
Starting with the 2010-2011 school year, two doses of the vaccine will be required
for kindergarteners and first graders. Currently, one dose is required for all
other grades.

Powerschool Lunch Information:

Powerschool will not have the correct lunch balances posted. Please go to the USD 308 website, www.usd308.com. On the left hand side of the page is a tab that says Parent Resources.  Please click on this tab and then go to online payments.  This page will give you a website to go to Revtrack. You may check your student's lunch account balance and even pay on your student's lunch account online. Please allow time for the payment to post. If you have questions, please call the office at 615-4800.
