PROVIDE SAFE, CLEAN, AND MAINTAINED FACILITIES FOR STAFF AND STUDENTS
SUPPORT SERVICES VISION STATEMENT:
WITHIN 5 YEARS, SUPPORT SERVICES WILL HAVE SYSTEMATIC PROCESSES TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS OF THE DISTRICT BY PROVIDING A SAFE, CLEAN, AND SECURE ENVIRONMENT WHILE UTILIZING DISTRICT RESOURCES AND FUNDS WISELY.

Welcome to the Hutchinson Public Schools Support Services web site.
The Department of Support Services consists of many of the districts operational components:
- Maintenance (repairs and preventive maintenance)
- Custodial Services
- Warehouse Services
- Grounds Maintenance
- Contract Administration
- Risk Management
- Contracted Transportation
- Food Services
These operations provide service for a school district operating 17 facilities; maintaining 119 acres of property, and approximately 912 thousand square feet of physical plant; and feeding over 4,500 students each day.
Our Support Services Divisions
Support ServicesAdministrator is Randy Norwood, Director of Support Services. Mr. Norwood's department is responsible for custodial services, standard supplies, warehouseing, and district wide delivery services.
Nutrition Services
Administrator is Jennifer Gardner. Ms. Gardner's department provides nutritious meals twice a day to students in all the districts schools. The department is responsible for the purchase, preparation and serving of food. Additionally, the department must track meals for nutritional content. The department also provides other nutritional support for the district, ranging from healthy snacks during testing periods to full-blown banquets for special events.

Health Services
To protect the health and environment of all USD 308 students and staff by promoting responsible choices.
Buildings and Grounds
Administrator is Bob Williams, Director of Building and Grounds. Mr. Williams department does the major projects and repair around the district, including painting, carpentry, plumbing and electronics. The department also keeps up the many acres of land on which the districts facilities rest. When snow falls in the winter, Mr. Williams department is responsible for making it safe to open school by clearing sidewalks and parking lots, often during the overnight hours.
