What is Parents As Teachers?
Parents As Teachers is an early childhood parent education program for parents of children birth to 36 months. Parents as Teachers is funded by the Kansas State Department of Education and your local school district.
What is the Goal of Parents as Teachers?
The goal of the Parents as Teachers program is to assist parents in their role as the child's most important teacher. The program is designed to provide:
- Practical and effective age appropriate information to promote the growth and development of infants and toddlers
- Information to help parents form realistic expectations about their child's behavior
Parents as Teachers provides the following services for you and your child:
- Home Visits
- Playgroups/Group Meetings
- Developmental Screenings
- Parent Resource Network
- Lending Library
