CLAIMING APPLICATION LEVEL POINTS

Claiming Application Level Points in MyLearningPlan.com

With the new PDC regulations, you are able to double your knowledge points by applying information learned from trainings, inservices, etc. When you are ready to make a request to PDC for application points, please follow the process outlined below:

 1.  Select the activity from the Most Recently Completed Section in MyLearningPlan.com.

 2.  The system will bring up a screen that has a link to Application Level.  Click there.

 3.  The Application Level Request form requires you to specify a period of time during which you are going to apply your new knowledge.   You will also be asked to describe how you are going to apply this information, what outcomes you expect, the time involved, and how you will share the results of your project.  PDC does want documentation proving you have applied this knowledge.

Documentation may be in the form of lesson plans, samples of student products reflecting the applied knowledge, meeting agendas showing that you have presented this information to colleagues, etc.  You will need to submit your documentation to PDC when you mark the Application Level Request complete.  All documentation will be returned to you after review by PDC.

 4.  PDC wants to know that you are working to apply the information you have learned; however, PDC will not award points until the end of the timeframe you have specified in the Application Level Request.  Those activities will remain in Your Learning Plan as Approved and In Progress.  You may want to consider this when developing your timeframe for application.

You may submit your Application Level Request 60 days after you have attended training and you have 180 days to complete the project outlined.  You must, however, have received Final Credit at the Knowledge Level before you may complete an Application Level Request form.

If you have questions, call Nancy (ext. 434) or Laurie (ext. 435).
