Summer feeding begins June 3

          Hutchinson Public Schools continues a program that provides summertime meals to children and youth in 2019 at six locations.

The meals are free for any child or teen, ages 1 to 18. No reservations are required for the meals, and no identification is needed. Adult meals are available for $3.65.

Meals will be served Monday through Friday from June 3 through July 26. There will be no meals served on Independence Day, July 4.

District recognized for United Way campaign

United Way award

Hutchinson USD 308 is proud to be part of our community. United Way's Starla Wells and Melanie Block presented Superintendent Gary Price with a plaque Wednesday for the staff participation in the 2018-19 United Way campaign. District employees contributed $32,999 and were the eighth largest contributors to the campaign.

Jones presents Challenge Awards

Confidence in Kansas Education LogoThree Hutchinson USD 308 schools received the Challenge Awards from the Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force on Monday (April 8).

Presenting the awards was be Ben Jones, member of the Kansas State Board of Education from Sterling. The awards were presented to:

  • Hutchinson Middle School – 7, 210 East Avenue A
  • Hutchinson Magnet School at Allen, 403 West 10th
  • Lincoln Elementary School, 315 East Bigger
