District makes changes to COVID-19 notices

USD 308 Families and Staff,

We are changing the way we report positive COVID-19 cases to make it timelier and provide you with additional information. Until now, we have sent out mass emails in the afternoon that simply let you know when there was a COVID-19 positive case in your building.

Moving forward, we will have a document available that is posted on our district homepage that you may view at any time. This table will have instances of active COVID-19 positives for district buildings, updated each day. As new cases are added, they will be posted; when cases become inactive, they will be removed. The list also will state whether it is a staff or student and how many additional individuals are being quarantined because of possible exposure.

We hope to provide as much information as we legally can while observing state and federal privacy laws.
