Reno County schools continue to be in the Yellow Zone for gating criteria. We’ll continue to have in-person learning for all students, except for those who have opted for remote learning all year.
While our cases of Covid-19 have dropped below 100 for the first time since Sept. 20, our positive test rate has ticked up slightly since last week to 9.1 percent.
Help our schools and community in three ways.
- First, continue your Covid-19 basic prevention steps – wear a mask, maintain social distancing, wash your hands, avoid large crowds.
- Second, continue to get Covid-19 testing. It is offered for free at the Kansas Cosmosphere south parking lot from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Pre-register at www.gogettested.com. More negative tests in the community lower the positive test rate.
- Finally, if you are able to get vaccinated, please do so.
