We are hearing a lot of positive stories about students being back for in-person classes. Because of a lower positive test rate in the community and number of COVID-19 cases, we are in the “yellow” zone for the first time in months.
Please watch your calendars closely this week. Elementary, middle and high school students are on different schedules because of the end of the second trimester.
- PreKindergarten through Sixth Grade: This is a virtual parent-teacher conference week for PreK through sixth grade students. Those students will attend normal class schedules Monday through Wednesday. There are no classes on Thursday and Friday because of parent-teacher conferences. If you don’t have a conference set up already, please call your school today or Monday.
- HMS-7 and HMS-8: HMS students are on regular schedules Monday through Thursday. Students are off Friday for the end of the trimester.
- HHS: For Hutchinson High School, this is finals week. After a regular day on Monday, students are on finals schedule Tuesday through Thursday. HHS students are off Friday for the end of the trimester.
The third trimester begins with all non-remote students returning on March 1.
