The National Civics Bee® is an annual competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Hutchinson is hosting a live judging round on April 17, 2024 from 12:00 - 5:00 PM.

💙The first-round essay competition is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.
✏️ To apply, review the rules and submit an essay application online. Judges will select 20 essay finalists to participate in the local competition: a live quiz event testing civics knowledge.
📅The essay applications are open until January 8th, 2024.
🎖Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners of the local competition!
1st place= $500 | 2nd place = $250 | 3rd place = $125
➡️Then, the top 3 students from each local competition will advance to the state competition to be held summer of 2024.
